Mr. Baweja has been keeping a Sastra Dana book-rack in his shop for over a year now. Besides getting the pleasure of performing this vital service, he says that the rack brings customers to his shop. The following is a short excerpt from an interview we recently did with him.

Airport Critic’s Friend Gets Reborn

As I was speaking to someone in the airport, a man came up to me who was so nasty — cussing and criticizing — that the person I was speaking to left. Then the nasty man got even worse. He was so loud that everyone in the airport lobby, whether at the ticket counter, the [...]

Pertaining To the Upcoming Presidential Elections in USA

You Must Read

Do you remember, any one of you, this verse from the Bhagavad-gita? Eh? But you don’t read. So I am writing all these books simply for selling, not for reading. This is not good. And if somebody asks you, ‘You are so much eager to sell your books. Do you read your books?’ Then what [...]

Srila Prabhupada’s Mercy On Mad Mick

A few years ago, in a small village in County Roscommon, one of the most rural parts of Ireland, there lived a man by the name of Michael Henmore. He never married and at an early life became a hermit. He had few possessions except a cow, a horse and cart, and a small house that time had forgot. He lived without running water or electricity. Every few days he would journey to the nearest village to draw water from the well there.

The Attitude of All Preachers

From the introduction to the Nectar of Devotion:

That should be the attitude of all preachers of the Krsna consciousness movement, following in the [...]

America: Dumbed Down, Doped Up, and Distracted

Just who is dumbed down, doped up, and distracted? I guess lots of people on this planet, but specifically our fellow Americans. Illegal drugs, sex and its industry, the movie and entertainment industry, electronic gadgets, cars, cheap pop music and its celebrities, uncontrolable eating (Srila Prabhupada would say, “Like pigs.”), physical beauty, the ever expanding casino scene, car races, mood stabilizers and other “prescription” drugs, so called progress in the field of science for advancement of material comfort; these make up but a partial list of things that make the modern man dumbed down, doped up, and distracted.
