Mr. Baweja has been keeping a Sastra Dana book-rack in his shop for over a year now. Besides getting the pleasure of performing this vital service, he says that the rack brings customers to his shop. The following is a short excerpt from an interview we recently did with him.
Just who is dumbed down, doped up, and distracted? I guess lots of people on this planet, but specifically our fellow Americans. Illegal drugs, sex and its industry, the movie and entertainment industry, electronic gadgets, cars, cheap pop music and its celebrities, uncontrolable eating (Srila Prabhupada would say, “Like pigs.”), physical beauty, the ever expanding casino scene, car races, mood stabilizers and other “prescription” drugs, so called progress in the field of science for advancement of material comfort; these make up but a partial list of things that make the modern man dumbed down, doped up, and distracted.
This video showes just one drop out of the whole ocean of nastinesss that is going on in the world today and it gives us a good insight into the nature of materialism. Once people forget about God, their decadance has begun and it is just a matter of time for the degradation to become a standard and pain become unavoidable. We should all feel inspired to increase our endeavors to propagate the beautiful principles and lifestyle of Krishna consciousness. It would be for everyone’s eternalbenefit.

This is an animation of the temple that will be built in Mayapur, India. Construction will begin in Oct. of 2008. It’s dome wll host a giant model of the universe as described in the Puranas such as Srimad Bhagavatam.
